I’m a future psychotherapist, lifelong learner, bibliophile, explorer, cat dad, and nacho enthusiast living right where it all began: in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.

Hi there, I’m Clay.

Born and raised in New York, I now proudly call Philadelphia home where I live with my husband and our cats Margo and Grayson. I’m currently pursuing an M.S.Ed. in Mental Health Counseling at the University of Pennsylvania, and look forward to becoming a psychotherapist in private practice.

My goals as a future psychotherapist

I’m particularly interested in leveraging integrated care models to expand access to high-quality, person-centered services that improve outcomes and patient experiences. I’m envisioning owning and operating a private practice that works with local primary care providers to identify and collaboratively treat patients who would benefit from this type of coordinated care.

My clinical interests

Include trauma, mood and anxiety disorders, OCD, personality and dissociative disorders, eating disorders, and somatic symptom disorders. I am especially committed to LGBTQIA+ affirmative care and supporting clients navigating chronic illness, disabilities, and concerns related to intimacy and sexuality.

My current work

Passionate about making meaningful connections and driving impactful change, my professional journey has spanned public policy, business development, community outreach and engagement, communications, marketing, and strategic growth, all with a focus on healthcare.

I currently work as an account executive with AccentCare, a national leader in comprehensive home health, personal care, and hospice care services. In this role, I serve as a liaison to physicians, case managers, social workers, nursing home operators, and insurance providers to facilitate care continuity and coordinate care transitions to home health, ensuring our patients receive the appropriate services they need to thrive and resulting in improved patient outcomes.

I also serve as a member of the board of directors of Mazzoni Center, an FQHC look alike that provides quality, comprehensive health and wellness services in an LGBTQ-focused environment, while preserving the dignity and improving the quality of life of the individuals we serve.

Outside of work and school

I’m an avid reader, theater enthusiast, and nature lover who’s on a mission to visit all the U.S. national parks (currently 19% of the way there!). In Philly, you’ll often find me exploring the city’s vibrant culture, cheering at Phillies games, or engaging with the arts and city that inspire me daily.
